How do people identify your brand?
Your mark identifies your brand. Your company brand needs a mark (graphic) for your identity to be recognized. This mark comes in the form of a logo, graphic, type face, etc. Your company or school must adopt this mark to effectively communicate your brand message on all literature, promotional items, and web sites.

This consistent mark or logo is how the world perceives your company. Your goal is for your customers to identify with your brand, and once they do, they will believe your business is legitimate. If your community and future customers believe your brand is legitimate, hopefully, they will begin to do business with you.

Ask yourself; What will people think or do when they see my trademark or logo? Does it mean something to them? Will people do something when they see your logo? Your #1 goal as a self-brander is to make that mark mean something! People must know by looking at your mark what it means to them. They must immediately know what you do when your logo is presented to them.

Use your brand mark everywhere…salespeople apparel, letterhead, business cards, signs, point of sale signage, promotional giveaways, company gifts, your vehicles, your email signatures, websites, and of course all advertising and marketing collateral.

Simply put, your brand is your logo. Design it well, keep it simple, and show it proudly.

What you do with your logo and how your company’s integrity is remembered by customers, is how your brand is defined. Be wise, keep it simple, and include it in every aspect where you do business consistently every time.
